About shade sails

The idea behind a shade sail is to create shelter, UV protection or shadows in order for an area to be used for more of the year and be more comfortable to use. This means that every requirement for a shade is going to be different and so each one can be made to suit the customers individual needs.

The design can include triangular, rectangular or much more complicated shapes in 2 or 3 dimensions. There are a range of materials available to suit the application and these come in a wide range of colours to fit in with the surroundings.

We aim to offer a complete service of design, production and installation of outdoor shades. To achieve this, we work with clients to meet their needs while maintaining flexibility and the ability to adapt. We offer choice, quality design and suitable materials.

Shade sail design

Our specialist software allows us to design shades to almost any size and shape. The location, profile and materials of the shade may be affected by variables such as the position of the sun and the exposure to the wind. Creation Shades are bespoke made fabric architecture that are visually striking and function just as well.

Twisted shades

Sometimes known as garden hyper shades, these look modern and stylish with three dimensions to catch your eye. Visually striking, the design works by having the corners at different heights to pull the fabric into tension.

Layered shades

Multiple smaller shades can be an effective way to cover larger areas. Big shades put a lot more strain on anchorage points and are harder to install or take down. Smaller shades can break up a space and offer more options for shape and design as well as creating less windage if in an exposed area.

Shades for shelter

A practical solution to protection from the elements is often required. Shades like these are often designed to be up as permanent fixings and that may affect the material choice and design, with the waterproof materials requiring a slope of twenty degrees to promote water run off.

Sun shades

If you want a stunning piece of design and blocking out the sun is the requirement we can make almost anything to suit. Our bespoke service means that we will work with you to find the best shade that suits your needs.

Chose your shade sail fabric

Do you want a shade that will perform as a water resistant shelter, or would you prefer a low maintenance mesh that will still cut out up to 90% of the sun’s rays? Each fabric comes in a range of colours that should suit any setting.

Fixtures and fittings for your shade sail

The correct choice of hardware will allow proper tensioning, a great look and perhaps more importantly (depending on the fabric) a rain-water run-off. We will of course advise on the best fixtures and fittings for your shade sail.
